Blue Core Standard Cardstock for Board Games
The industry standard cardstock for board games is Blue Core 280 GSM. This is our most popular cardstock – it makes up about 80% of our orders – and it’s used in successful games such as Magic: The Gathering and Pokémon.
All about cores
All cards are constructed of two pieces of paper: the front side and the backside of the card. When a core is added, a thick sheet of paper is placed between the front and backside of the card. This prevents light from shining through the card and revealing what is on the front side.
Our Blue Core Standard cardstock is one of our most affordable options, along with our Coreless Value cardstock. Choosing Blue Core Standard allows you to add more cards per deck without driving up your price.
