Accordion-style Instructions
Accordion-style instructions offer versatility in that it’s, cost-effective, compact, and pleasing to the eye. By forgoing binding, even ones as simple as saddle-stitched or staples, this option reduces total cost. In this option, the instructions fold in a way that mimics an accordion. This allows you to display artwork and instructions on the front and back, making for a clean presentation. Even more, accordion-style instructions also easily stores into a tuck box.
Limitations
Our machinery can only produce 4 folds on one sheet. If you need more folds – like the 7 folded instruction sheet to the right – you can request them to be folded manually. This requires an extra fee. Otherwise, you can request that we glue two sheets of four folded instructions together.
Accordion Instructions Material
Our default accordion-style instructions paper stock is 70lb text gloss. This is generally the thickness of an average comic book page.
You may choose to request another paper option through our card game quote form’s additional information box. For example requesting our lowest paper weight option, 55lb text, would result in a thickness akin to copy or computer paper. Going up to 85lb text, instructions would feel like a magazine or catalog. With 135lb text, our heaviest of text stocks, the thickness is comparable to a coffee table or children’s book — an extra-heavy feel.
If this isn’t the option you’re looking for, definitely head back and see our other instruction styles. We offer booklets, folded instructions, and even an option to have the instructions printed on the game box itself. Do note that some of these options are more costly.
