Cover Template Generator

Create a custom cover template in seconds with our generator tool. Choose from softcover or hardcover.

1. Enter your cover details into the generator to create a cover template file.
2. Confirm any crucial text and artwork are at least 0.125" inside any trim, spine, hinge, or foldover areas. Specialty add-ons also require special setup - please reference setup guides here.
   • Keep in mind that production of a casebound hardcover has an inherent centering variance, even more so than other binding types, especially horizontally.For this reason, we recommend keeping all important text and graphics 1/4” away from the left and right foldover guides(and 1/8" away from the top and bottom foldover guides) just to make sure it doesn’t accidentally run off the edge.
3. In your design program, place the downloaded PDF template in the document. On a separate layer create your cover artwork making sure to align your background to the red outer line.
4. Save or Export your file as a PDF. Be sure to hide/remove the template before exporting your final artwork file. Here is a link to our recommended export settings:
